well... damn... junior year... yeah. bleh.
anyway, ive been stock piling some projects recently and i feel like i should post them on here, just cause the railroad spike axe is the like only recent thing Ive made. my gallery is like a year out of date and i am getting kinda proud of my work.
For my fans of smithing i will be posting stuff but no WIPs. just finished products. my biggest news is IM GETTING AN ANVIL AND PROPANE FORGE SOON!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. i plan on making many knifes and even maaayyybeeee trying a short sword since those are held in such mysticisim by the average person. the forge i'm told can easily reach welding temps and so some more damascus is in the near future aswell.
i think i might shift my focus for a while tward axes because i am still very green in making, shapeing and tempering them. i just made a tiny little 1lb rail road spike axe (highcarbon this time) to remove bark with and it has a solid walnut handle. its only like 8 inches long and i got to use coal smoke to color the head. im really happy with how its turned out, and i just have to sharpen and sand down the handle yet.

stock of nails, s hooks, necklace and earrings peices
chain saw damascus
rail road spike hot punches and chisels

i also have been given a Patriarch's Militant (a religious order about as close to the Free Masons as you can be without actually being a mason) sword to restore. gotta remake the pommel.

best 4 months ive had yet....
not much to say on that...
as an american today's the last happy few hours before a day that will be filled with sorrow and remorse. its the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. as a teenager now, my grade is basically the youngest group of kids who are still in school who actually remember that day. as i was doing one of my unjustly numerous numbers of HW i saw a drawing i made on friday by chanse. it was the symbol for Plo Koon's division of clone troopers from the new animated star wars series. i remember thinking briefly about it as i drew, you know, it kind of looks like an angel with feathered wings... not even registering the significance of the sunday i was much anticipating for my chance to smith. as i wrote down the trivial answers to page 42 #s 6-14, 17-20, and 24-27 i started thinking... about yesterday, today, tomarrow, and what my plans are to get to 9/10/21.
all because of this angelicly shaped symbol of a division of Soldiers.
a division of soldiers who, in the ever expanding universe of lucas arts, encounter a brand new weapon that caught them off guard, stripped them of their defenses, and caused them to loose thier entire ship. Soldiers who had their numbers taken down to so few you could count the survivors on your fingers.
the irony is... depressingly thick...
